Opening a single video file with a separate media player

Is there a way to have just one single video file open in a separate player? I use GOM Player as the default for all my videos, and one video I have was purchased in the Microsoft Store and thus will only play in the Windows Movies & TV app. Is there a way to be able to have that single video file open for the Movies & TV app while still having all others open with GOM Player? It does get kind annoying to have to right click that one file and do the "open with" option. And the file is formatted as an mp4

Windows classifies files by "type" that is manifested by their extension. You can easily set a default program to open files of each type, in your case for .mp4 files. The only way I can think of about opening a single .mp4 file with a different program without resorting to the "open with" dialog is to create a batch file with the command line code that will call the program you want and instruct it to open that one file.

Now, there are two ways I can understand the issue behind your problem: either (1) the video you purchased came with some sort of rights management which does not allow it to be open by other players or (2) the file you downloaded was encoded with a codec that is inaccessible for your chosen player and hence you have to resort to the default. In both cases, I suggest you look carefully at that one file and establish what the problem is, why can't your player (personally I've never heard of it) open that file.

Another suggestion is to try VLC - this player is free and comes with all possible codecs, so unless it is the DRM issue, it should be able to play your file.
