First - do you have another PC to install Macrium Reflect on and make a MR Rescue USB to backup this drive before we proceed?

It's possible we can make it work on this motherboard - but depending on how you answer, using a known working PC would be faster.

So you can install Macrium Reflect on the laptop and make the MR Rescue USB and use it to boot up the PC to make an full backup of your boot drive that has the important data.

Once you do that, try to clean install Windows 10 using this same PC as you can't put this disk into the laptop.

That would be ideal, otherwise you first make a MR Rescue USB, backup the drive (to where?), take the backup image to the laptop and mount it from Macrium and confirm your files are there, then reuse the USB to make Windows install USB, then you'll need to make the USB back into MR Rescue USB.

Where are you going to store the MR drive backup image - do you have an external USB drive?

Yeah, thought so. Thanks for all of this. Unfortunately I'll have to leave this to a cliffhanger for myself, because it's starting to be my time for duties. Gonna get that second usb later, as soon as I can.
