    System Time issue

    First time this happens: I left my computer powered on for a few hours as usual and when I came back I noticed that the system time was off by 5 hours exactly, as if it were a time zone problem. I opened time settings, all settings were OK, manually synched and system time was properly adjusted. Any idea why this could've happened? The Windows Time Service is set to manual, and is disabled, should I set it to Automatic?

    Hi, if you search the Tutorial section for e.g.
    default services
    you should find

    Restore Default Services in Windows 10

    Check the state from the list there- and restore as appropriate.

    @antares,
    Mine is set to Manual (trigger start) just like yours and the link referenced, so leave it as is.

    See https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/win...ility?tabs=257 and check the Event Viewer log in specified in that link for possible signs of trouble.

    Thanks Dalchina and Steve, yes the Manual (trigger start) seems to be the proper Startup type according to Dalchina's link
    The event log shows these two reports right before I manually synched:
    NTP Client observed a change peer reachability. Ntp Client is now receiving time data from the following NTP Servers: time.windows.com,0x9

    W32time Service received notification to rediscover its time sources and/or resynchronize time. Reason:Changes to the network interface or to the network topology
