how to close a window with no "x" or other option to close

trying to figure out if I can use my WD MY Book discovery with new computer (UEFI) issue

apple opened an advertisement with no "X" or other way to close it...

hijacked... join the cloud or buy something or... waste time trying to figure out how to close a window that won't take "no" for an answer

ok, closed it by "restarting" but, for future situations...
curious, what is with a window designed to not close?

If Alt+F4 doesn't work, then open Task Manager, select the process in the Names column of the Processes tab, then click the 'End tasks' button at the bottom right of Task Manager.

These processes are also often hidden in a Browser tab, CTRL+F4 could close them too.

Also if the App loads to the Taskbar you can right click the icon and choose Close all Windows.
