windows 10 advanced power registry key Dword 0 attribute does not work

Why all the advanced power option registry Attribute 0 does not make the option added to the advanced power option settings?

    for example in this guide

Add or Remove Hibernate after from Power Options in Windows

it says use this cmd code to add the "Hibernate after" in Power Options

    powercfg -attributes SUB_SLEEP 9d7815a6-7ee4-497e-8888-515a05f02364 -ATTRIB_HIDE

I tried but it does not work on my windows 10 but it works on my windows 8.

    It created a registry key

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\PowerSettings\238C9FA8-0AAD-41ED-83F4-97BE242C8F20\9d7815a6-7ee4-497e-8888-515a05f02364Attributes DWORD 0

but 0 does not add "Hibernate after" on windows 10 but it added "Hibernate after" on windows 8.

so my question is why Atrributes 0 no longer work?

    Welcome to TenForums!

Please open an elevated command prompt and then run the command "powercfg /a". This will list all the available sleep states on your system. Is "Hibernate" listed as a supported state on your system?

    Hello Bob,

The command in the tutorial has now been updated for this. The value should be "2" to add instead of "0" which the old command no longer is valid for.

Add or Remove Hibernate after from Power Options in Windows

This power option does require hibernate to be enabled.
