Correcting or deleting Windows Recent files list

I am a new member to this forum; just joined today.

    Windows 10 Home 21H1

At another forum in November, I was provided a link to a batch file that would remove the recent file list from my Quicken task bar icon. It did indeed do that, but it also must have disabled that capability for Quicken as here several days and uses later it has not repopulated. Other apps are still working normally. The batch file was written by Shawn Brink. I tried to send msg to Shawn but was denied. Shawn, can you help me? The batch file is below.

    taskkill /f /im explorer.exe

    start explorer.exe

Hello Joe, :and welcome to Ten Forums. -)

Recent items in the jump list should eventually repopulate as you open the files with Quicken.

If not, there may be a bug with Quicken preventing it from reporting the recently opened items.

    thanks Dalchina and Brink,

I ran the bat on Nov 28 and Quicken is still not repopulating and it has been run several times.
The recent file list inside Quicken is working. Perhaps I will go to Quicken site but that is where I started and was sent to Windows site, and someone there recommended you guys. Guess I have made the circle now. :-(

Be sure to report this issue to the Quicken developers to see if they may find an issue on their end as a possible cause to hopefully get fixed soon.
