Like I posted above, "the Acer I am using now, is 7 years old and windows 7."
How much longer can I trust using it? I LOVE it BUT?
I want a NEW computer, and with the 512 SSD.
The speakers/woofer I am using on it has to have the audio ports I indicated on this graphic.
I also want a tower that stands UP and Not lay down on it's side.
I am not looking to take apart to add this and that to beef it up. Buy as is, works fine for me. At least they have been so far.

Okay If I was to do this............ I mean just for an audio port and SSD. The worst situation is that if your computer is unable to stay cool or the screws holding things together somehow got loose from the board itself.

    1. checkout inside *open your machine" and check if you have SATA , IDE, or thunderboth etc. In fact what is the hard drive information.
    2. Check the kind of slots you have free. If there are PCI, PCI-X, PCI-X16 or others
    3. Buy a corrisponding SSD drive that is bigger then the one you have for the price you want. Make sure it has the same interface ( port for the SATA, IDE, or etc ). Also make sure if it is SATA is it SATA 1, SATA II, or SATA III.
    4. Below are the following options of how I would do this.

    A. Download W10PE and Rufus. Use Rufus to write W10PE to USB ( wiping out all data from the stick making a bootable USB. Turn off PC. Make sure the SSD is plugged into the extra
port ( most likely SATA 1,2,or3 I assume ) not the USB. Turn on the computer and use one of the tools to Copy your install of Windows 7 to the new SSD, so you do not have to reinstall. Turn off. Remove old drive
and turn back on computer. Your back up of Windows 7 should boot into the SSD. To gain extra space you have to use the computer management utility and go discs where you should be able to gain extra space by enlarging the drive.

    or

    B. Macrium Reflect could also be run on your computer ( If for Windows 7 ) and make a backup copy.
Note the SSD drive should be plugged inside your computer and not SSD. Then you could remove the original drive and use that. To gain extra space you have to use the computer management utility and go discs where you should be able to gain extra space by enlarging the drive.

    or

    C. Get a copy of WIndows 7 - 11, ( etc Operating system you feel could run ) . Use Rufus to write to usb stick as a bootable USB. Boot the USB stick and go through the install of the fresh SSD you just installed prior.

    5. That being said all you would have to do is install the sound card into your machine and if the drivers are not their you should look for the drivers to download.

    .................................................................................................... .................................................................................................... ........

In the end you could only pay for the

    A. SSD
    B. Sound Card.

You could then take the rest of that money and put inside a savings account, bond, stock, money market account and pretend it does not exist. Again it is your money. When I see money I see blood and sweat being burnt.

That is WAY over my head.
I am too old to do stuff like that. I reached the "simple" to do and understand, point in life now.
    Sit back and enjoy.

All desktop/tower computers include Stereo Audio 2.1 out, like the computers you have selected, which is fine for regular Youtube audio playing videos and will work with your speakers.
Either of these computers are fine for what you are doing, (ie) Email, Social Media, Youtube the occasional movie. If you want to enhance your experience, you can add a 5.1 surround sound audio card, or a video card but what you are selecting is fine.

5.1 surround sound should be available at the HDMI ports.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH for lifting my spirits that that, will work with the speakers I have.
Does it matter if my speakers are 2.1? They are being used in an Acer I bought 7 years ago and are terrific. I LOVE the Woofer.

It's all cool for cats. Your 2.1 speakers will work with any computer, so no worries there. :)

NOW for sure you made my day! As you may have sensed, I do not know much about computers beyond pushing the power button.
Those speakers in particular, are VERY important to me as I LOVE the sound it produces from such small speakers not taking up a lot of space.
