Can't delete Dropbox folders and files

    I have Win 10, x 64, 21H2, latest updates.

I had Dropbox, but uninstalled it (or at least got rid of it). Left are C:\ProgramData\Dropbox\Update\Log with 728 files. I cannot delete them. I don't seem to have the right permission. What do I need to do to get it?

    Thanks,

    Hans L

FreeBooter, fantastic. Works beautifully (although I did not get a chance to read the Command Prompt, so I'll stick with no pause.

    Best regards,

Oy, FreeBooter, another question necessary: I see your context menu item (Take Ownership) in the Win Explorer context menus, but I am using Explorer replacement Dopus (very good). What do I need to know to get the context menu item into Dopus' context menus? I assume the "Take Ownership" item resides only in the registry, so what do you really click when you right-click "Take Ownership" in the context menu (asking so I can put that into Dopus' context menus)?

    Best,

Sign in to Dropbox online and make sure you have deleted all files from that account.

Okay, FreeBooter, I did not assume you knew how to do it in Dopus. I am wondering how I can check what is "behind" 'Take Ownership' in Win Expl context menu. Is it a reference to the Registry or ...?

Understand (I see it in the registry). I just do not know what the Context Menu item looks like. In Dopus, for instance, when copying names, but not paths, when highllighting a file, it may look like this: "Clipboard COPYNAMES=nopaths".

Win Expl must have some similar "code" that one might look at. When clicking "Take Ownership", what "code" runs?
