    Cannot open CMD screen function

    Hi
    I am on Windows 10 v. H121
    I have two HDD.
On HDD 1, the one I’m currently using, I have created a drive IMG on a USB external drive with Macrium Reflect.
On drive 2, which I keep as a BUP drive, I have an older Windows 10 installation. I want to replace it with the same Windows 10 on HDD1.
To this effect, I have done a recovery on HDD 2 from the Macrium Drive IMG BUP. The recovery works. I now get on HDD 2 exactly the same Windows 10 I have on HDD1, except that the CMD function doesn’t work.
I get a message “ app couldn’t get started...”. The CMD works on the other Windows 10 on HDD 1, though, which is exactly the same, as they both come from the same IMG file. How can I fix it?

    Thanks

Is this on the same PC as this thread you've just started?

Windows 10 in-place upgrade keeps failing

Ok, since an in-place upgrade repair is failing on this, please do not raise more than one thread at the same time on the same PC.

Can you see that anyone trying to answer this does not know that, and you are seeking resources from members on both?

Please focus on the other thread. If that is solved it is likely to solve this specific problem. Thank you.

OK, fine . Thanks a lot for your help and patience . The fact that the in-place upgrade fails, I thought, may not necessarily be connected to the CMD issue. This is why I raised the two issues separately. I didn't intend to complicate things, but it is OK,
If somebody wants to look into the the other thread ( CMD) super !
You guys are terrific and whether my issue is solved or not, I thank you all for your competence and willingness to help. We can't win them all!

If you have restored the backup and it is not ok, you should actually check why the backup is broken and not try to repair the restored backup.

    That makes no sense.
