Task Manager/MS Issue

Per the attached image Task Manager shows these processes still running even though the actual app has been closed. Is this normal????

Go to Background apps in Windows settings and look at the list of apps allowed to run in the background. I bet you'll find Edge there as allowed to run in the background, as well as many others. If you turn Edge off in that list, the behavior you noted should change.

(e.g. Settings > ? > ? > ? ...)

You can probably turn them all off and not have an issue. Start by turning off the ones you don't frequently use.

forgive my limitations, but I still need to know where to go to do this.

Press the WIN key and type "background apps" or got to Windows settings and search for the same.

I did this - no joy, processes remain.

Start Edge, then in location bar "edge://settings/system" - What is the second switch from top (Continue running background....) set to? Mine is off.

When I exit Edge, it's not in Task Manager at all.

I did this. Immediate check of TM and it's not there. Checked after 5 or so minutes. They are there again!
