Apparent bugs in V21H2 Jump lists and advanced recovery problems

Not sure as a newbie the best place to post.

When I started with 10 V1909 everything worked fine. Next came V2004 and in advanced recovery if command prompt was selected when the machine rebooted from the recovery partition the PC at the the point of user selection would freeze.
This persists now up to V21H2 but worked OK in V1909. I use jump lists for the task bar icon on Firefox to pin web sites and had used a registry mod to increase this to 20 items. This worked OK up to V21H1 but since V21H2 the mod no longer works stuck at the default of 10. Plus the background color and text have reversed from black background and white text to white background and black text. If anyone can shed any light on these problems I would be forever grateful. Hi, jump list number:
Using this excellent free tweaker (usually with full explanation) I can readily change the number of items in the jump list.

I.e. this is not a broken feature in 21H2.

Plus the background color and text have reversed from black background and white text to white background and black text.
Mine are fine. But I'm not using dark mode... I wonder if you are?

What happens if you create a new user for test purposes, log in as that user, and try those?

I can confirm that booting to a command prompt works fine for me.

just an update on one of my problems. The jump list problems were caused by installing StartIsBack++ on the upgrade to 21H2. The number of items in the jump list is caused by the default settings after install plus the color change of the background and text. These can be altered in the settings to return these to Windows standard.
