How to modify File Explorer Search options?

Use the wildcard... *

Say you want to search a bunch of images, with a starting number of 3...

image3*.jpg
or image3*.*

Or maybe you want to search for folders or files starting with Win

Win*

If you want to search for a specific number of characters or numbers, you can also use the ? wildcard.

image 3???.*

This will search for all files named image in the 3000 range, that have ANY file extension.
