There is no need to create any partition in Mac, just erase the drive. If you want to be readable in Windows create a single partition FAT32 which you can then format as NTFS inside Windows.

I once had a different issue with a Samsung SSD. I bought it as used, but It was locked with an unknown user password and I could do nothing to remove it. Even the clean command failed! I created a support ticket and returned to Samsung Europe and they replaced it with a sealed new drive under Warranty!

    Thanks to everyone

I finally got my PC running Windows 10 Pro to update. It's not Windows 11 compatible. I'm looking at building a new one. I love my old Asus motherboard and am looking at building my new system on an Asus mobo that is Windows 11 ready. I'm looking at the ASUS TUF Gaming Z590-Plus WiFi 6. No doubt I won't be able to salvage any of my components from the old system. Maybe I'll turn it into a Linux setup. My old cpu is a quad core 3.2GHz Intel i5-4570, and 24.0 Gig of 1333 MHz DDR3 RAM,(so I won't be able to use either of those. I'm pretty sure I'll need a high quality power supply and maybe a liquid cooler cpu fan unit, too. My old unit also has an AMD Radeon RX 590 Fatboy graphics card. I think my Creative Audigy card has a little better quality sound than I get from the Radeon. Since I'm at the start of this project, I'd appreciate any ideas or suggestions. I'd like to get the best bang for my bucks but I'm definitely not anywhere near a high level gamer. I do stream a lot of TV, movies, and online courses though. Again, you guys are the best!

You might want to consider air cooling instead of water.
The uses you mention wouldn't tax any modern CPU, so wouldn't cause it to get very hot.
One issue with liquid cooling is that the pump tends to have a shorter lifetime (typically about 4 years) than fans have, and would be much more expensive and complicated to replace than a fan would be. Leaks are another thing to worry about.

None of the applications you mention would require more than the integrated graphics included in AMD "G" model CPUs or Intel non-F model CPUs. Gaming and video development (streaming, video re-encoding, etc) are the kinds of applications which most need the graphics performance provided by separate GPUs. Of course, you can later add a separate GPU to a system which has integrated graphics if you find that you really need the performance and costs come down.

By the way, I notice you have Win10 Pro x64 21H2. My system recently updated and in the OS build info now says my version is 21H1 on OS Build 19043.1387 and that my system is fully updated. Is that basically where I'll be stuck because my hardware is not compatible with the Win 11 requirements?

Win10 21H2 is unrelated to Win11 and does not have any of the hardware requirements which were introduced with Win11. It also does not have its fancy new GUI.

Microsoft is gradually rolling out the 21H2 enablement package. Not everyone is getting it at the same time. I'm not sure why, since it's just a "trivial" patch to enable (turn on) features which have already been downloaded in previous updates. While it could be that your computer doesn't meet some of the requirements for 21H2, that seems very unlikely: I'm running it on an 11 year old Dell laptop.

You might check to see if it's available as an optional Windows update:
    open Settings
select "Update & Security" (it's at the bottom of the page)
click on the button "Check for updates"

When it's done, look to see if the update page shows the link "View optional updates". (See the attached screengrab.) If it does, click on it. The upgrade to 21H2 might be there.

An alternative is to select the "Update" option on Microsoft's Win10 download page at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...load/windows10
While viewing that page, click on its "Update now" button. This method is much, much slower than installing the enablement patch, though. Apparently it downloads all of the updates which contain 21H2 features, even if they're already installed.

My understanding is that an undocumented direct link to Microsoft's Win10 21H2 enablement patch on an MS server is available too. A Web search might find it.

If your current PC running Windows 10 64-bit can play the games you want, then you can force Windows 11 on it no matter if it doesn't meet all the system requirements. Buying a new PC is not mandatory, unless you want to install Windows 11 without any hacking. If you don't mind to do a little easy hacking to upgrade your Windows 10 into Windows 11, then all you have to do is download the ISO and delete a specific DLL file from setup cache before proceeding. Make sure you download the same language ISO or you won't be able to do an in-place upgrade.

Download the Windows 11 ISO from here (English is US-EN, International English is GB-EN, be cafreful) :
    Download Windows 11 (microsoft.com)

Forget the Media Creation Tool, go further down at the website and download the ISO directly.

When download is complete, double-click the ISO to open it and then run Setup. At the first screen, before doing anything else, browse to folder C:\Windows~BT\sources (if you cannot see it change settings to show hidden files) and delete the file appraiserres.dll Now you can proceed and upgrade to Windows 11, you have bypassed compatibility check! Every time there is a new build of Windows 11 (such as in spring 2022), you do the same trick to upgrade to the new build. Any other updates download without any issue from Windows Update.

Is MS fear mongering about not circumventing W11 security requirements

I've been reading a lot MS stuff about not doing any of this. I also recall they discourage editing the registry, and tell you they will not support or be responsible for any consequences of such edits. Then they give you instructions on editing registry keys. I went ahead and did a lot of registry editing, but always making a backup, in case I'd need to reverse. Do you have experience with the changes you suggest? Do you know gamers doing so without the dreaded fearful consequences?

If you hack Setup to bypass compatibility check, then your system might not be Windows 11 compliant and Microsoft might deny assistance. Other than that, you have absolutely no problem doing so. For Windows 10 assistance, you can consult www.tenforums.com For Windows 11 assistance, similarly you can consult Windows 11 Forum

PS: The Registry hack works only for clean installation. For upgrade delete the appropriate file from setup cache. For clean installation you may also create a hybrid USB (containing Windows 10 setup files and replace install.wim in sources folder with the respective file from Windows 11 ISO). The latter always work and is ready to use, no hacking involved for the user installing Windows 11.

Read all about it here: Windows 11 install on incompatable cpu | Windows 11 Forum (elevenforum.com)
