    It was a GA-Z87-D3HP (rev. 1.x) ? I would say there is something wrong in the design, they should last 20 years.

    We use Action Clear HVAC-R corrosion protection for PCBs. To protect equipment located in saline conditions. We use it for Video cameras, network recorders, Wifi APs, routers etc... it is an absolute requirement in some places.
