How can I permanently remove the"File Type" column from File Explorer?

When I open File Explorer the following columns are displayed by default for every folder: Name; Date Modified, Type, Size. I do not want/need the file type column and many times I remove it (right-click, uncheck) and replace it with something else. Unfortunately, every time I close File Explorer, and then reopen it, the "File Type" column is back and my modification is gone.

My question to the Forum is whether someone can point me to the registry entries that govern what columns will be displayed by default so I can either delete the key for "File Type" or modify it to permanently not show it.

Any assistance or guidance will be appreciated.

    TIA

I am using the following version of Windows: 21H1 (OS Build 19043.1348) - This is the Home version, not the Pro.

    Hello @ejk,

Is this of any help? => How to Set a Default Folder View for All Folders in Windows 10

Also, have a look at the Related Tutorials at the BOTTOM of the above Tutorial [ there are a few ], as they may also be related.

As mentioned above, WinSetView is very good.
