How did this happen?

Woke up my computer and saw Windows Update was installing. Question is I was not on the internet. No Wi-fi connection. I keep my PC computer off the internet unless I am doing research.

These updates where downloaded while you were doing research. Then Windows wait for the computer to be idle to install them.

Thanks. Makes me wonder what else Windows downloads without my knowledge. I even have all Update settings for Windows on "no". Not allowed.

Microsoft automatically updates other things too.
If you have Office 365, Microsoft Click-to-Run automatically downloads and installs updates to it as well. For example, I just opened Control Panel\Programs and Features and found that Office 365 was automatically updated on November 1 without my knowledge.
Microsoft Edge was automatically updated on October 31.
And Microsoft OneDrive was automatically updated on October 27.
