    Hello @jumanji,

Finally, I decided to take the plunge.

Plugged in the Macrium Reflect WinPE recovery flash drive , booted into it, invoked the Macrium PE explorer, hunted down to those folders I wanted to delete and deleted successfully.

Result: Left-over folders ( that REVO uninstaller Pro did not delete on restart ), now deleted successfully with Macrium Reflect PE explorer.

My thanks to @Tekkie Boy, @SIW2 , @Paul Black , @Megahertz , @MaloK, @Bree , @steve108 , and @Fabller2 for their time, participation and contribution in this thread. None is lesser than the other .
Excellent news and result. Thanks for the update.

Out of interest, why did you install VCD anyway? That has not been needed since Windows 7.

I have been using VirtualClone Drive since Windows XP days and it continued. I used to convert all CDs, DVDs, BDs and data discs into ISO and used VCD to mount and play the ISOs.( It is however long since I played any of these..)

And you know that I didn't know Windows 10 can mount ISOs till two days back .

Incidentally, after deleteing the two folders relating to the VirtualClone drive with Macrium PE, I was searching the registry to find any orphaned entries and found one entry VClone.sys. In Windows 10, I went into System32.> Drivers and deleted it. While writing my post #20 - the finale, I suddenly realised "OMG, that could be the driver for Microsoft Virtual DVD-ROM". I rightclicked on an ISO and the "Mount"command was missing confirming this. I restored it from the Recycle bin and all is well now.

This was an anticlimax to this episode .
