    Dx11 question

Is dx11 included in Windows 10 Pro 64 bit? My dxdiag shows Dx12. The reason I ask is that I am playing a new game Icarus (beta) and dx11 is recommended (default) trouble is the game keeps crashing. The game in not as yet optimised. I have an option to run the game in dx12 but it has "unstable" in brackets. Once launched in dx12 it runs better but still with the occasional crash. My drivers are up to date. Do I need to download dx11 or should it also be in windows 10? Sorry I am a novice here so if this is a stupid question to some of you I apologize in advance. Thx.

DX12 is supposed to be a superset of all the older versions, but it doesn't include every old driver. You could install a package: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down...ils.aspx?id=35 I doubt that it'd help. Well-coded games automatically install the necessary DX components.
