Does anybody have an idea what the folder C:\storage is?

Randomly popped up on my C:\ drive on the 12th of October and writes a new file upon every login, it has numerous .db entries on different dates all with storage.07961.001and only the last two numbers of the 079 changed so 61, 62, 63 etc.
There are 7 of those entries, two for todays date and all the others are random dates between the 18th of October and now.
The only other file in there is storage.index.db which was the original file created on the 12th of October.
I have run multiple virus scans and malwarebytes, nothing showing as suspicious.
So what could this be? Does anybody have any idea?
