How do you want to open this file dialog

    Hello everyone,
Every time I turn on my computer and I log in in Windows 10, a How do you want to open this file dialog appears before every other app starts in the very beginning. It's like it's already opened before I enter my desktop. I cannot figure out which file causes it, because when I click somewhere else, the dialog disappears and the same thing happens if I press any button, so I can't even take a screenshot of it. Have you any idea how can I solve this?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi, see posts 8,9 here:
Receive "How do you want to open this file" on startup

Otherwise may suggest some program is being launched that causes that.

History: (usually not given by posters):
    - when did this start?
    - what happened or was changed just before that?

If recently, have you considered using an appropriate System Restore point - if you have one?

    Process of elimination: e.g.
First try a clean boot (Google or see tenforums if unsure how).
    See if it still occurs.

If it does, more startups are exposed by Autoruns (free from MS).
Consider it could even be a scheduled task.

Here's another approach with limited scope, though:

Nothing had changed before this thing happened, Currently searching for my startup Apps but I can't see any new app that wasn't in there before. This dialog started appearing a long ago so I don't want to do a restore because I will lose important documents and apps.I will try clean boot now and I will tell you the result.

I am currently on clean boot and the dialog doesn't appear anymore. So I have to start disabling app by app to see which one is causing it?
Two apps that I cannot figure out what is it starting automatically as seen in the screenshot above. I am talking about smartjoge PC which is the name of my desktop. How do you want to open this file dialog-inkedscreenshot_4_li.jpg

Good start... you can inspect the properties of those (rt click, Properties) and try to find out what they are.

You have a few less common ones too. It would indeed be reasonable to inspect the less common ones or odd-looking ones first.

So I enabled my main programms and the dialog doesn't appear anymore. I enabled again the two startup items "smartjoge PC" and the dialog appeared again. So these are that are causing the conflict. I right clicked on them but no info is provided about them.

If you look at post #9 from the link I posted
Receive "How do you want to open this file" on startup

you will see something very similar.

    Suggest you delete those startups.

Check to see what is actually in C:Users - there may be a null file you can delete

I went to C:\Users and I saw a file with the same name as the service is running. I opened it with VSCode and I cannot understand what is it about. Should I delete it?
