System going to sleep and not waking up after latest update

Since the latest Windows updates my Windows 10 desktop has started going into sleep mode overnight but I've been unable to wake it. It responds to pings, and the shared drives are still available to other PC's on the LAN, but the display is off and the system does not respond to the keyboard. I have to use the reset button to regain access to the system.
The system is a Ryzen 7 2700X / Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite motherboard. My Windows version is 21H1 (OS Build 19043.1288).
Any idea which one of the updates is likely to have caused this?

    Hello itm ,
Please check from PC manufacturer website that you have the latest drivers and BIOS installed.

Run SFC Command in Windows 10 please run sfc and dism if necessary to make sure there are no Windows issues.

I tried sfc /scannow first. It reported that it had found and fixed some problems. However the following morning the system was unresponsive again, so I updated the BIOS and the chipset drivers for the motherboard (using downloads from the Gigabyte site). The system ran OK for a day, but this morning I was welcomed by an "unknown software exception" in CiceroUIWndFrame, followed by a lot of other exceptions which I didn't make a note of. The PC had also lost its internet access.
So now I have uninstalled the Windows update which was installed just prior to all of these problems arising (KB5005539). Fingers crossed.....

    Thanks for the update.

Please run "powercfg /h off" to disable hibernation and Windows fast startup as they have been known to cause problems - so we can eliminate them for now. After that, shutdown the PC, then restart it, then see if the PC works and sleeps properly. Also run sfc and dism again.

So before I got the chance to disable hibernation I got another system lock-up. Same symptoms as before - both displays went blank, but the network shares on the machine were still visible from other PCs on the LAN. This time it happened during a file copy operation. I got a very strange error about insufficient resources, then everything went black.
Annoyingly, KB5005539 reinstalled itself when I rebooted. Is there any way of preventing this?
Anyway I have now disabled hibernation and will remove both KB5005539 and the KB5006670 Security Update which was installed at the same time on 20/10/21.
The machine is now as unstable as I've had a Windows PC in the last 5 years :0(

You may want to consider doing Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade where you should be able to keep your apps and files. First make a full backup image using Backup and Restore with Macrium Reflect

Did you update all drivers, including the video driver?

OK now the problem has deepened a little - I'm unable to remove the KB5005565 Security Update. I get this error:
"An error has occurred - not all of the updates were successfully uninstalled"
I've known viruses that were easier to remove than this update :0(

So now I was hoping to go back to a System Restore point, but the earliest Restore Point that I'm being offered is 24/10/21 - 4 days after the main Windows update. I now seem to be backed into a corner, with a hopelessly unstable system and no way back.
    ???!

Situations like this is why we recommend making frequent backups with Backup and Restore with Macrium Reflect

I would try what I suggested in my last post - in-place repair upgrade.
