W10 does not apply color profile...

    Hey
    I'm at a total loss :- ((
I have fresh window install. I've generated 3 icc profiles. I can see them all in Colour Profile section in display settings. The second I change any of them, my color profile revert to default profile and none of the profiles work. I can change them all day long, nothing changes.

Can any1 help me? I dont know what to do.
I use ccProfiles from colorite (xrite) and that app applies profile at the end properly, but windows is unable to use it properly afterwards.

Did you try setting your preferred color profile(s) in Control Panel \ Color Management? That's how I did my three color profiles and they all work fine. I also set my own default color profile there, and you should do the same.

Whatever is selected as the default profile in Color Management will remain as the effective one until you positively deselect it. Carefully go through the three tabs,---Devices---All Profiles---Advanced--- and check the settings in each to ensure the check boxes are as you require.Don't forget the ---Apply---box for any changes.

I was unable to use windows color management. I ended up using displayCal software to do my callibration and that is able to apply/reapply calibration if I lose it.

Color Management allows you to select,as default,ANY programme installed on your computer. It is simply a built-in tool.
If you can not access it,then you have a file corruption which may be addressed using ---sfc /scannow--- and ---dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth ---
