OneDrive folder in taskbar when Win10 starts

    Win10 Version: 21H1

I want OneDrive to sync when windows starts, but I don't want the OneDrive folder in the Windows taskbar.

How do I prevent the OneDrive folder from appearing in the taskbar at startup, but still have OneDrive sync at startup?

    Hi Jep, wellcome to TenForums,

Do you mean in Taskbar or in the notification area?

If it is on the taskbar /the blue cloud on the left/ you can unpin it.
If it is in the notification area /grey-white color cloud on the right/ then is syncing.
Just open Settings-Apps-Startup and click on OneDrive to allow starting from startup.
If you don't have it there go to settings in OneDrive itself and tick the first tick from top:

    Hope this helps

The OneDrive I do not want to see is definitely NOT in the Notification area.

It is just a File Explorer task which displays the OneDrive folder (which contains the folders/files I want backed up by OneDrive) in the Windows Taskbar. And that folder is not pinned, so it can't be unpinned. That folder appears in the Taskbar every time Windows starts.

I have the OneDrive "backup" running at startup - and its icon appears in the Notification area, which is where I have always seen it. That one I need to keep.

So I just need to know how to prevent Windows from running File Explorer for the OneDrive folder, when Windows starts.
