Go into Reliability History and left click on the line ---windows was not properly shutdown ---then RIGHT click on that line.
A box containing ---view technical details ---should appear and if so,then left click on it.
A report should be given that was sent to Microsoft and in Problem Signature there will be the problem event name and application name giving you searchable information which must be used together.
Yes, I see the line to view technical details. This is all that appears for the latest freezes.

Previous times (over the past few months, and 2 years, since this has been ongoing for two years), I would see kernel related technical info.

Hi, so no solution for this? I am having the exact same problem, exact. I cloned my hard drive from another build to this new build a few months ago. Before that summer 2023 I cloned to a laptop too but only have this issue on the new desktop. Must of frozen 10x yesterday. I switched from chrome to Firefox, same problem. I'm running memtest86 now. I will probably reformat this weekend if nothing else helps. I wonder if it's graphics card related. My processor does not have onboard graphics unfortunately so I haven't tried without the card. Never had this problem with the original build, bulletproof tiger I've been carrying with me since 2014. Thanks Madison

I think this problem started for me in August 2021, and no solution so far. I think with the help of people in this thread, I've gotten closer, but nothing that's completely resolved it.

My PC build is from January 2019, so I went 2.5 years before having this issue.

The reliability history relays information sometimes when it freezes, but sometimes not.

Sometimes it just says "Windows shut down due to a technical error" and nothing else.

The one thing I haven't done is reinstall both Firefox and Chrome. Since it's two different browsers where this can happen, I'm not sure the issue is browser related.

I think based on this thread, it is graphic card related. I just switched drivers again a few days ago. Previously, up until 3-4 weeks ago, I had my OEM GPU driver. Then I switched to the latest 4 weeks ago. Then a few days ago, I switched to one from June 2023.

Most of the time, I get this error when streaming a video. But sometimes I can be on a website like reddit, and the exact same thing will happen.

What's more frustrating is that this problem will go away for 2-2.5 weeks at a time. It's been like this since August 2021. So just when I think it's resolved, it will come back.

So now I'm getting two different possible kernel events from the reliability history, 117 or 141.

    Problem signature
    Problem Event Name: LiveKernelEvent
    Code: 141

It's been about 4 days since it last froze, so maybe right now it's in its 2 week no freeze period.

Wow what a nightmare for you. I will probably upgrade Windows, RMA my graphics card, and reformat my hard drive...in that order. For now, I restored my system to an early date to buy myself some time. Good luck to you.

Let me know about your progress, and what seems to work.

I have thought about upgrading Windows too, but haven't been ready to do that, without being 100% sure what the problem was.

When did you first notice the issue? And which date did you restore your system to? What tool did you use to restore?
