What does the HP website have for latest BIOS date for your PC?
“insyde” - never heard of this before until I looked for it now and found Insyde Software | UEFI Firmware & Engineering Services Provider

You should make a Macrium Reflect backup of this new PC before doing anything with it:
Backup and Restore with Macrium Reflect
And make a bootable Macrium Reflect Rescue USB too.
Then you can install your software to this new PC and have to backup image to restore if you start running into odd problems and need to start with the initial backup image you made.
Suggest you run full scans on your PC with Windows Defender and MalwareBytes Free to rule out viruses and trojans, etc. I'm afraid I don't know how to determine if you're being hacked, etc, other to suggested running those scans.
I understand that this site says to use that software for systems with software on them, but why for systems with nothing but possibly OEM webcam and windows? Is this in case my software is infected? I’m really conflicted about both systems and waiting still from Avast and the other thread regarding info about Farbar. It seems like either way, I better disable updates, considering all the trouble I’ve had with them.
If you're referring to the new PC, yes, I suggest you make a backup image of it before doing anything to it as you seem concerned that your other PC may be infected. When I buy an new PC, I like to have a backup image of the virgin system in case something unforeseen happens while I'm installing my software on it - so I can easily and quickly go back to virgin condition.
