    Increased File-Explorer spacing/tablet mode settings

    Greetings everyone,

I'm currently trying to create a theme for Windows 10 that looks as close to WIndows 11 as possible. I am using 21H1 Build 19043.1288.

For this reason, I'd like to increase the spacing in File Explorer, just like in Win11. There are some settings under tablet mode settings that should apply even when the tablet mode is inactive (the setting is called "When I am NOT using tablet mode: make buttons in file explorer easier to touch"). However, activating this setting doesn't change anything, everything stays the same.

Here's the kicker: I think it DID work at some point and I manually unchecked it a few months ago. What's going on? a bug? or did MS remove this feature? Can I circumvent it in any other way (registry edit, third party app etc.)?

    Thanks!

    Kind regards

To which spacing are you referring?

Have you compared how close other themers got? E.g.

    Hi,

thanks for your reply. I'm referring to the vertical padding. example (left is the one i want to achieve):

Yes, I've seen a few themes and this video in particular as well, unfortuantely there's no extra spacing there either. Also I'm making my own theme because I'm unhappy with certain things in the already existing ones, it's coming along nicely:

Edit: Here are the settings in question (in german though, sorry - located under "additional settings for tablet mode"):. They specifically state that these will be applied when tablet mode is NOT active. However, none of these toggles actually do anything, which is weird...
