Getting File Title Field To Appear When Searching Folder Of External D

    Hi Everyone,

I'm connecting my iPod to my Laptop and trying to find files on it thru windows finder doing a *.mp3 search with the hopes of then being able to Sort those results by file Title (treating it as an external drive, and making the standardly hidden folders with the mp3s as visible)

The names of the songs are CODED, hence why I have to sort by file Title as that has the real alpha song name probably embedded in the file somewhere.

I want to do a search one level HIGHER, so it will search ALL subdirectories, problem there is on THAT level, all of a sudden
the previously working and visible and searchable file "TITLE shows up as empty for every file. So I technically can do the *.mp3 search
one level up and get all the results , but at that "upper level" the file Title goes away, and hence I can't sort the files by Title

    Hi,

Why not try a id3v2 tag editor Like Mp3Tag Mp3tag - the universal Tag Editor (ID3v2, MP4, OGG, FLAC, ...) It doesn't have a search, but you can view all info at once.

You can also rename all your coded files to their title instantly. Then use any file search utility to find what you want.
