    keeps asking Me to reboot

I have a problem on my laptop, it keeps asking Me to reboot by using a form on the screen, enc. I cannot get past it to start the laptop, have pressed all the F buttons but to no avail. I am running Windows 10, thank you in advance.

I don't recognise this I'm afraid. Hopefully someone will.

What were you doing before this happened?

That is not a Microsoft Windows screen, it is the Lenovo OneKey recovery screen. If this is popping up every time you start then it may indicate that your Windows is corrupted. As dalchina asks, what were you doing before this happened? Depending on the answer it may or may not be possible to recover from this.

That screen can be seen here, the OP of that thread eventually had to 'restore from the initial backup', effectively a Lenovo factory reset.

    ... I'm assuming that
    1) there is no mouse for you to press the Next button, and
    2) you want to press the Next button

Press the Tab key on your keyboard until you see the Next button get "highlighted". Not really a highlight, but you will see it look slightly different than the way it looks. That means it's highlighted. Once that happens, press the Enter key on your keyboard to go to the next screen.

BUT ALSO KEEP NOTE: It says anything from after that backup will be deleted. I dunno exactly what they mean by that.

If your system isn't too corrupted, then you may be able to get past it by pressing your Novo button rather than any Fn key. Check your manual to find where the Novo button is located on your Lenovo.

Fill in your profile's system specs with make and model here: https://www.tenforums.com/profile.php?do=extra and we could look it up for you.

The Novo button should give you this menu screen at boot, try selecting Normal Start up.

Thank you all so much for your help, I have tried what you advised and although the OKR sends up the suggested menu, the laptop keeps reverting back to gather same screen!!! Has anyone got any further suggestions, or it looks like goodbye to this computer. Once again thank you so much for all your help, Howard

It looks like it may be goodbye to the installed Windows and your user files, and possibly to the hard drive itself if that has died on you. But it's not necessarily goodbye to the computer. Hard drives can be replaced quite easily, Windows can be clean installed, and if you have got backups of your files they can be restored. One quick check that the hard drive is functioning enough for the PC to recognise it would be to take the option to go into the BIOS Setup and see if the drive is listed as an installed device. If not, then it's either dead or a cable may have come loose.

If you haven't been backing up your files then, depending on whether the drive has failed completely or it's just the Windows that's corrupt, it may be possible to recover some of your files. The way to do this would be to boot from a USB and see if the drive is still accessible. You can boot to a Command Prompt using a Windows 10 install USB, for example.

If the hard drive is still working but it's just Windows that's too corrupt to boot, then it may be time to try the OKR option to 'Restore from initial backup' to get a working system. That would be a factory reset back to how it was first supplied (and possibly back to win7 or Win8 if that's what it came with). But only attempt this after trying all possible ways to recover your important files and documents, once it's been reset you would have wiped out any chance of recovering them.

Your laptop found a problem and it is asking you to load a backup image to restore your drive.
Even if you don't have the backup you can still reinstall win 10 in less than 1/2 hour.
As already mentioned, the first thing to do is to find out if the main drive is good.
There are two kinds of drive failures:
    - Logical failure- Corrupted or missing files. This kind of issue is quite easy to fix by a disk check or by a drive format and a windows reinstall.
    - Hardware failure. This kind of issue can't be fixed. You have to replace your drive and do a Windows reinstall.

Start your computer and enter BIOS by pressing F1, F2 or Dell (depends on the computer). Under devices you should see your storage device (a SATA or M.2 NVMe).
If you can see it, it may be tested.
If you can't see it, it probably is dead.

@Howardal has now done that (thank you Howard). His System Two confirms that it is a Lenovo as previously deduced from the screenshots. For a Lenovo there is a Novo Button that let's you get to the Bios.

Hi, this is a Lenovo t440s- I have no 'Novo' button...

(If there was a 'System 2' listed by Howardal it doesn't seem to be there now).
