Can you see the #29 in the orange square?
Can you see the post before is #28?

Do you now think you can find post #20?

    Thank you for your criticism.

Man guys, after I select reboot it's like a millisecond and I see the error window and it's immediately obscured by the logoff screen.
Film your screen with a smartphone whilst you do it so you can play it back to see what the dialog says.

I will try but it's an error for a split second and it reboots before I can even see it. Do the error logs not help?

Why is everything so freakin difficult? I get an email alerting me to your message, once I respond and want to add something, where is it? The site I must admit is laid out out by a child. Why wouldn't it open to my posts? If I have something open, would't I be looking at that first, Jesus. Anyway I use keyboard shortcuts more than the mouse. Win+ shortcuts work except WIN+E. I'm going to do the reinstall. Clicking a folder in explorer opens another window and another window-explorer-error.png

Your smartphone camera is probably recording at at least 25fps so it should capture the dialog.
If you do not have a video editing application that can step through the relevant chunk frame by frame then post the video here / post a link to it here [if it's too big for the forum]. But do add a comment saying when, within the video, the dialog appears just to save me or someone else a lot of time checking it.

That email contains a direct link to the last post in your thread so I don't know why you have problems with it.

I've been through the thread again three times now and I cannot see any posted error logs.
    - Do you mean the Event viewer diagrams?
    - If so then bear in mind that using Events for diagnosis can take a lot of effort yet might not be successful.
    - If you want to proceed then I suggest you
    - - Unzip then import this Custom view using the control on the right-hand side of Event viewer
    Power - Starts, shutdowns.zip
    - - Shutdown then start up again.
    - - Using the Custom view, write down the exact time that shutdown was initiated.
    - - Use NirSoft's FullEventLogView to look at events just after that time. This utility has a nice chronological display of events that is much easier {than Event viewer} to look through in circumstances like these when you only know a time & not what you are looking for.

Personally, I'd first run SFC*** then a Repair install in the hope that it would make both problems go away without any further investigation.

*** I think you have already run SFC and it reported no errors.

    Best of luck,

Hello Denis, I'm sure I wasn't looking as thoroughly as some would I was just looking for errors. I tried a "clean boot" and nada. I reinstalled Windows and nada. Right now I'm using Q-Dir as the file manager which of course works perfectly, in one open window! LOL, but I think I'm just going to upgrade to Windows 11, F it. Thank you for the response.

Do try the Repair install first.
Its as likely to repair the fault as upgrading to Windows 11 [which would be the same procedure anyway, a Repair install is also called an In-place upgrade and is how many of us move from Version to Version using ISO files].
