I'm betting on 10/7 of next month that the preview will pop up. That or some time in the first week of October.

But sooner would be fine as well.

^^ Agree.. I can wait. And to top it off I have to be out of my duplex from 8/5 - 8/11.. So no internet and if it coimes out then I can't test it until the 11th. Staying with my girlfriend, Erin, so the maintenance guy/contractors can do some major work.

I just wonder why the "event" is such a private do... invite only, no live streaming etc...

Perhaps M$ would just like to make certain sections of their supporters feel special - or it's not gonna be available to the general public at that time?... just seems a bit odd.

It will be a letdown for some if the initial release is restricted to MSDN etc. Even then though, somebody will more than likely upload it somewhere within a day or two.
