Windows Explorer Default File View
Hi,
I'd like to ask: Is there a way, when using Win Explorer, to set the default file view for EVERY folder on EVERY drive, to "Details" (as opposed to "large icons", etc etc), and to choose the file attributes displayed (eg Name, file type, size and Date modified), and to keep it all set that way permanently?
Seems like whenever I disconnect and then reconnect an external HDD, Windows forgets all these settings and chooses different display settings for folders depending on what's in them. In a folder full of mp3 files, it displays completely useless attributes such as "Album" and "Contributing artists" or something, along with the empty attribute "#" (whatever that's supposed to even mean...) Folders containing mp4's will display as icons, etc etc. I just want every folder set to "details" with the four attributes I mentioned above, and I want it to stay that way.
If this absolutely cannot be done in Explorer, can anyone recommend an alternative app which will behave the way I want it to?
Many thanks for any suggestions.
