    Random black screens happening

So lately whenever i startup my PC i noticed that right before i put in my PIN i get like a random 1 second black screen.

Sometimes it happens even after i log in and i get multiple blackscreens but they all last like maybe 1-2 seconds.

I do have an adapter from my VGA monitor connected to my GTX 1660 SUPER and sometiems i get a random black flicker in the above side off the display but the image is still there. I know that flicker is from the adapter.

But are the random black screens as well caused by the adapter ?

I checked GPU temps and rest of the hardware temps and they're all good.

    Anyone know what's happening ?

Do you have ---High Contrast--- on or off?
Whichever you have, try the other setting.
I have the B450M-DS3H,which occasionally does the same in----High Contrast -On---.
Also check ---Reliability History--- and see if there are any reports.
Look in ---dxdiag---in the Display page for any report and also note the driver version, date etc, then visit the maker's site only and download that driver version,or later if available. Then uninstall the current driver in use by the Display Adapter and replace it with the new one.
Screen problems are often, but not always, caused by the Display Adapter.

I have a VGA to HDMI adapter for my monitor.

But i also have a 5.1 surround sound system and i noticed these black screens occur mostly when i turn the subwoofer ON or OFF.

Anyway i posted in another forum also and they said these random black screens are probably also happening because of the intereference between the subwoofer's power source and the adapter and the rest of the system. When this interference happens i loose image for a split second.

To prove power source interference, completely disconnect the sub-woofer and see if the problem persists.

    Yeah not gonna happen... LOL

There are a ****ton of cables going from my subwoofer to the PC + i think a few splitters for said cables... i'm in no mood to take that all apart just for a random black screen that lasts 1 sec and if i move the mouse i get back image regardless.

It's most liketly the subwoofer power source anyway interfering because i noticed that when turning it ON one single time i don't even get that happening. This only happens if i turn ON and OFF the subwoofer MULTIPLE times.

Be careful with any power supply problem, suspected or otherwise.
