After installing new RAM I am experiencing many system issues

Apologies. Thanks for asking me to clarify.

Putting in the old RAM doesn't fix the problem. Still no audio etc.

And when I say it's stable, I mean that I'm not experiencing any blue screens of death or anything, which is what I would expect with seriously corrupted RAM. (The RAM is also new, so I wouldn't expect is to have many problems.)

EDIT: But I am still experiencing the audio etc. issues.

I haven't tried a full memory test yet, but reinstalling the old (and working) RAM does nothing.

Finally, beyond these issues, the system appears stable during use of the last several hours.

Any ideas what I can do besides a full Windows reinstall?

You added 4 sticks 32gb each? total of 128gb?

If yes, did you look up your motherboard to see if it can do that much?

Just to upgrade size, yes. It is DDR2666. MB allows that frequency. Not sure how else to check for compatibility. But switching to the previous RAM doesn't fix the problem, and since it's stable otherwise, I assume the RAM is compatible.

Not that am aware of. I have delayed new updates simply to ensure stability of the machine and to avoid automatic restarting, so that has made my version somewhat behind. I'm not holding specifically to this version.

Thanks. The overview for my drive says 100% performance and 77% health (looks to be measured by "Percentage Of The Rated Lifetime Used").

Thanks, yes, the spec sheets says it can manage 128 GB. I plan to run a memtest on it tonight. And so far, it is running with all 128 GB visible.

What motherboard and what ram specifically? (many eyes on compatibility list is good)
Checked the compatibility from crucial etc?

The MB: Specification X470 GAMING PRO | MSI Global - The Leading Brand in High-end Gaming & Professional Creation

Looking on G.Skill's website shows that a slightly different RAM set is compatible i.e., F4-2666C18Q-128GTRS instead of F4-2666C19Q-128GTRS, which is what's currently installed - AFAIK the only difference is the timing is 18-18-18-43 instead of 19-19-19-43. This seems pretty minor for a difference but I could be wrong.

Can't seem to edit original post.

After some quick memtest86 testing, I found that 1 of the new DIMMs appears to fail. But I'm not sure how that causes these system-wide errors since they are still there with the original (and presumably good) RAM.
