    Erase EOF key?

On my W10 PC keyboard, how do I erase everything that is after the cursor? Like frequently in a browser's URL address area there might be a very long web address where maybe you want to, with 1 keystroke, get rid of all characters that follow the cursor. I see no "Erase EOF" key on my keyboard.

Put the cursor where desired, hold down the Shift key then either hit End or use the right arrow to get to the end of the text then hit Del. Some Notebooks don't have all the keys on a Desktop keyboard but have others. Or put the cursor where desired, click and drag across to the end to highlight then Del.

Agree with Berton. Also I have never heard of any keyboard having an "Erase EOF" key so Berton's reply is the best option.

    Hello @cwr64,

The quickest way for me at least, is as @Berton suggested by placing the cursor where desired, holding down the Shift Key > End > Delete.

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks, Berton!
There was an "erase eof" key on my old mainframe keyboard - maybe 3270. Worked fine.

You're welcome. The mainframes were different, back in '96 our hospital got some new Win95 computers and I set them then they had a company come in and Networked them, the Server was much smaller than the old IBM they were getting rid of, think the difference between a big toaster oven and a 16 cu. ft. chest freezer.
