taskbar keyboard shortcuts? accidental taskbar resize

soo..I had occasion today while setting up, to witness my taskbar go from two row sizing, down to one row, without being commanded to do so, and I'm wondering if I accidentally hit some kind of command shortcut or if windows had a derp moment(its windows..sometimes it does one off derps, we've ALL seen this).

    any ideas?

If some inadvertent click changes it, and you wish to avoid that, try locking the taskbar (rt click, Lock....)

it WAS locked..I think...I know I had to unlock it to switch its position to the top of my current monitor when I was putzing about with using a tv as a monitor(this failed to pan out by the way) so its entirely possible I forgot to lock it after swapping it back to the bottom of the display again.

You should be able to uninstall the 'recent update' and hide (block it) if necessary if it's causing a problem. Having uninstalled it, if you still have the same problem, you know it's not that.

and today shot that theory clean out of the water..the taskbar did NOT reduce itself from two rows to one today on boot.
