Intel folder has nothing but IntelCPHS.log. In use???

C:\Intel\ has a subfolder and a single file in that called IntelCPHS.log. I attempted to delete the log so that I could work my way up and delete the Intel folder (which does not appear on my other main Intel-CPU PC), and I can't delete it because it's "open in content protection HECI service."

CPHS is easy to find in Autoruns, and has a checked box. Any advice on unchecking the box and deleting the log file and then the Intel folder will be welcome.

Here's what the Intel Community says about HECI: "The Intel(R) Content Protection HECI Service is used to enable premium video playback (such as Blu-ray*) for Intel® HD Graphics." If you're not playing back video and using HECI, nothing wrong with getting rid of it. Even if you are, it probably just means it'll re-create itself the next time you do so. You can boot your PC to a bootable repair disk, then simply delete <D>:\Intel\IntelCPHS.log where you'll substitute the drive letter for what is normally your C: drive (figure out what it is by running diskpart then list volume to see which drive letter has been allocated to it).

I don't do videos on this machine, so I took your "nothing wrong with getting rid of it" as Gospel. My method was simple: I went to the file in Autoruns, unchecked it (disabled it temporarily), rebooted, found deleting the file and the super-folders easy, and went back and enabled the CPHS in Autoruns. Done.
