Timeline and Activity History – What is being uploaded / sent?

When I Windows + Tab I can see my Timeline and many files I have opened
1.
The items / activities on the Timeline are the same as Activity History?

If I send my Activity History to Microsoft
2.
Do I send any of the files I have used / opened?

If you want to view all activity history on Windows 10, you can do so on the Microsoft account privacy website. When you access the website and log in, you'll see a range of categories. Each one will take you to a page that shows all the information Microsoft has stored about you, relating to that category.
There's a lot to take in on this page, so here's a brief rundown of each category and which you should check.

I can conclude, that the Timeline uses the Activity History data.

I would just like a clear answer / source, wether the Activity History data are the actual files shown on the Timeline?

And / or how much data / info about the files is in the Activity History data?
