    Icons in Taskbar Notification Area

I keep having to re-enable my preferred apps in the "Select which icons appear on Taskbar notification area".

Is there a fix for this?

When/Under what circumstances do they revert ? After restart ? Randomly ? Changed settings just don't stick ?

20H2 ? ... Try updating to see whether that fixes it.

    Hi idogat,

I don't know for sure. Maybe random as well as some other factor(s) is the best answer I can give.

I just now moved an icon from the taskbar area to the hidden icons menu, after which I checked those "Select which icons appear on the taskbar" settings, and the icon I moved was now turned "off".

Sometimes, an app goes missing altogether from that "Select which icons appear on the taskbar" settings list, whereupon I must launch the missing app, so that it will be added to that list, after which I must manually turn it "on".

I've experienced this pattern/behavior, such as it is, for quite some time now.

Not a guaranteed fix. Toggle setting in Post#1 screenshot on then off.

    Then run this and reboot.
