Windows Issue: Random crashes, black screens, PC freezing

    Hello,

I'm currently facing the occasional random crashes. I also find myself with a black screen in a middle of a game requiring a reboot and from time to time the PC just locks/freezes. General performance issues are also a problem too. For example loading up task-manager or excessive frame drops during games.

I would like help on figuring out the possible causes. Let me know if you require more information and I will gladly get them for you. Most of my PC specs are already in my profile.

    Many thanks!

Black screen could happen because of buggy graphic card driver, try installing the newest version or previous version of the driver.

Look in Reliability History to see if there are entries covering the problems. If so,then the ---view tech details---lines 1 & 2,should give usable information.
Also,open---dxdiag---and check through it. The Display page will give the necessary driver version details, which you can download from the maker's site only,or a later version if available. Uninstall the existing driver and install the new one.
Then run---dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth---to clean up any corrupt system files.

Is there an error dump file you can read using BlueScreenView Blue screen of death (STOP error) information in dump files.
