How to find an .img file without finding image files?

I created an .img file with Clonezilla, but I am not sure enough where it is. So I am doing a search using the Windows Files Manager, selecting the drive where I think it is, then using just ".img" to search. But most of the files found are image files (PNG, JPG, GIF, etc).
How to narrow down the search?

    Thanks in advance guys,

The problem may be that you're using an inadequate tool. Try "Everything," a search utility that indexes your files and folders in a jiffy or two, and then type "*.img" (without the quotes in the search blank at the top.

I just ran exactly that search with Everything on my machine, which has about a thousand .jpg, .png, .gif, and .ico files on it, and it found the one file on the machine that has the extension .img.

The problem may be that you're using an inadequate tool.
Windows search is perfectly capable of doing that. The problem is that it needs properly configuring. I've only just finally done an experiment so I get instant results even on my system drive for searches, including content search, starting anywhere on C:

It also supports quite complex syntax. Sadly MS has never made it a convincing consumer-oriented feature, so it needs some understanding, and messed it up from 1909 on. Thus it will never gain friends.

Note: Everything is more resource hungry than some alternatives and has an annoying tendency to hang on to removable drives, and unlike Windows search does not index content.

Starting from This PC - near enough instant result:
