Trouble Copying Boot Files
@topgundcp
I have the following situation: I am taking the HD out of an older laptop running Win10 version 21H1 and wish to clone it to a newer HD to put into a newer Laptop. I have successfully cloned the drive using AOMEI Backupper but the drive fails to be recognized in the newer laptop. The newer laptop previously had a UEFI system and it's BIOS is configured to boot as such. I saw a thread with your solution showing how to repair the system boot partition and was following those instructions
diskpartbut when I came to the last step, which is to copy the boot files from your Windows folder to the boot folder I received the following results (M is the volume on the boot drive containing the Windows directory, S is the new boot partition on that drive):
select disk 1
select par 1
delete partition override
create partition EFI
format quick fs=FAT32
assign letter=S
exit
bcdboot F:\Windows /s S: /f UEFI
C:\Users\Gordon>bcdboot M:\windows /s S: /f UEFI
Failure when attempting to copy boot files.
I did verify that the M:\windows\boot\efi directory does exist and contains the following:

This is my current Disk Management view. The only thing I'm wondering about is why the KikiNEW volume shows Healthy Data Partition rather than Primary. Would appreciate any thoughts you might have. As I get older my brain doesn't see the patterns as well as it used to.
