In my nation, a new Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga with i5-6300U and 8 GB of RAM sells for about 2500, equivalent to US$387.

I just bought a decent second hand Lenovo T470 for $550, so there are good deals out there if you know how to shop.

Over the years I've had Acer, Lenovo, Toshiba, HP and Dell laptops. My vote is for Dell. But with a $150 budget you are not going to get much of anything.

    With a 9th Gen i7 and 32 GB of DDR4 RAM? I don't think so.

Yes, not going to happen. Ebay has some good deals, but the OP needs to double his budget for a decent 2nd hand laptop.

To make a long story short, I am in the market for a new Laptop with Windows 10 due to an incident that happened with mine. I really would like to stay with HP since my whole house is basically adorned in HP Computers. Should I stay with HP or change to Dell or Lenovo? I found a few for sale on eBay and Facebook Marketplace of those said manufacturers. I can't spend no more than $150 as that's what I paid for my Laptop that got messed up.

    So, HP, Dell, or Lenovo?

    Jesse,

As I'm sure you are aware, the cost of everything is through the roof.

Only a suggestion... check around at local pawn shops. You just might stumble onto something you can live with.

    Good luck.

I wouldn't recommend that particular model though, its 6th gen processor isn't supported for Windows 11.

Actually I buy all my machines second hand, and none of my current 'crop' have anything higher than 6th gen - in fact some (like my System One below) have processors made before Intel even had a 2nd 'generation'. So I've just bought another used laptop that's 'Windows 11 ready' and plan to migrate my System One's OS and software to it once W11 goes RTM. It's an Acer Aspire 3 A315-23, this one...

Would you buy from the first batch of Windows 11 computers? | Page 6 | Windows 11 Forum - post #110

If I have understood the following sentence correctly, the OP wants Windows 10.

I wonder whether it is possible with the following:

I havent checked the prices of second hand 8th gen / 2nd series ryzen laptops.

Maybe one of those would fit Jesse's budget.

There are many used Windows 10 laptops on eBay for $150 or less. As long as future Windows 11 support isn't required.
