Hi,
Following a crash I've reinstalled Windows and everything seems OK with one exception. On a couple of websites I can see just the left side of the page and have to move the slider bar over to the right to read the part of the that's not in view. I've tried all that I can via zooming etc but cannot seem to centralize the page.
Any advice appreciated.

Generally using the middle icon in the top right corner of a program's window will Maximize or Restore, if on Restore you may click and drag an edge, top, right, left, bottom, to resize as desired, clicking Maximize fills the screen. These User-settable things can get changed for a number of reasons or causes. To Maximize click that middle icon if only one square is showing and to Restore to the previous setting click the same icon which shows 2 squares stacked. Another choice is Full Screen, usually reached by pressing F11 [depending upon the computer], that is different from Maximized, gets rid of some of the Toolbars in a program's window until pressed again. I have a 13" Notebook that uses Fn + F11.
Thanks for that Breton. No luck so far but am giving it a go.
Might also right-click the desktop and choose the Display settings item, I prefer the default of Recommended.
What browser are you using and have you tried testing with a different browser?
Will try the default Recommended in the display tomorrow Berton.
And Steve 108, I'll also try a browser change.

Setting the Display size to 100% cured the problem but created another. The wording on the desktop icons and taskbar etc are now miniscule and not easy to read. I feel if this could be overcome all may be fine.

The resolution of 1440*900 is not listed in the drop down menu and cannot be found via the detect either.
In the scale and layout fixing to 100% cures the problem and the page returns to normal but unfortunately at the expense of text being very small and hard to read on other web pages.
I have a gut feeling that the answer isn't too far away and could be linked to resolution.
