    Yes, and those were the system paths in XP too (the last to use them, I think). If @PawelC was using RoboCopy to back up files, then there are options to copy as Junctions, or to ignore them.

    /SJ :: copy Junctions as junctions instead of as the junction targets.
    /XJ :: eXclude symbolic links (for both files and directories) and Junction points.
