    Start box vanished from Taskbar


    Can anyone. please, help me to recover it?

    Hi, does this give you any clues?
    Missing win logo start button next to search.

    You might also try using a System Restore point if you have one.

    Win logo is still showing, but no room for box.

    It happened oddly enough after a system restore.

    Haven't seen a Start box as such but my default installs show the Windows logo as the Start button.

    Right click on a blank spot on taskbar, go to search in the menu that pops up,select "show search box". That should do it.

    Do you actually mean the search box is missing? I was confused by your original description.

    Yes, it can be hidden as glddragn said. And that's actually neater- saves space.

    If you use Win key + S you should see:
