Why all the install problems by now?
Why all the install problems by now?
Seems to be not much faster than 8.1 Per the July article I read but has improvements and Direct X 12You can make tiles as short cuts to programs, I've done that and I use the free Nexus bar on desktop which you can make other shortcuts. As far as the colors? Never cared too much about thatClassic them? Dont care and its 2015 time to have something different. Virtual PC? Used it before but really have no use for it and I doubt that the majority of users will careHonestly these points seem to be important to you and I like you loved 7 but embracing the change in computing world can be a good thing. I remember these same discussions about XP vs 7 years ago then 7 vs 8, in the case of 8 yes it was a disaster
In my opinion :)
#1 Windows 7, the best OS ever made, everyone loved it never heard a complaint about it.
#2 Windows 10, it`s no Windows 7 but MS has to do something every few years, it`s very nice.
#3 XP, it did it`s job fine for the work force, but blue screened and froze up way too often.
#4 Vista, ya I said Vista, personally, I loved the change from XP.
I said that you can't pin shortcuts to the left side of the Start menu in Windows 10, you know, where they would be small and unobtrusive, rather than making the Start menu wider.
Third-party applications don't count. We are talking about what Windows 7 and 10 can and can't do out of the box.I've done that and I use the free Nexus bar on desktop which you can make other shortcuts.
Whether or not you or anyone else cares about those things isn't relevant. You claimed that ...As far as the colors? Never cared too much about thatClassic them? Dont care and its 2015 time to have something different. Virtual PC? Used it before but really have no use for it and I doubt that the majority of users will care
"Everything that is in 7 is there in 10 except the control on updates"
... which isn't true.
In reality, I said:Honestly these points seem to be important to you and I like you loved 7
"... but I don't even like Windows 7 all that much, so I haven't used it much."
So where did you get the idea that I "loved 7"?
Change is only good when it is for the better, and that applies to everything, not just the computing world. For example, the change from Windows Me to XP was awesome.but embracing the change in computing world can be a good thing.
BSoDs and freezes are a sign of problems, usually hardware and/or driver problems. XP doesn't inherently have a tendency to BSoD and freeze. I ran XP as my main OS from 2002 until a few weeks ago, and the only BSoDs or freezes I ever had were due to hardware or driver problems. On the hardware that I recently replaced; I ran XP on it for 9 years with not a single BSoD or freeze. On the hardware that I used previous to that (from 2002 until 2006), at one point I had a freezing problem, and going back to an older version of my video driver solved it.
. . .don't just love reading about how bad this is, and how bad that is. . .this is to say the least fun to read even if it is just plain silly. . .:)
Good idea(start new thread, not delete). . But this time in Installation and Setup and not General Discussion. General Discussion is actually what is going on:) so we can't blame them, and only, post what's wrong, or else you will get an invasion of the "Opinionators".
Windows 10 is great. Rule.
