How can I make Microsoft Print to PDF do A6?

I need to print an A6 document to PDF. In the Print Server Properties there are a huge number of paper sizes defined, including A6, but when I try to print, Microsoft Print to PDF Document properties only offers a tiny handful of them, and A6 is one of the ones that is excluded. How can I print to an A6 PDF?

    I am using 21H1.

I know you say - Microsoft Print to pdf, but of course that virtual printer only saves the pdf doc, it does not actually print it
    I use an Epson
    please see screenshot
Basically - doc you wish to print open
    print cmd
    print using system dialogue
    printer
    preferences
    advanced

OR you open the A6 doc and print to pdf in A6 using microsoft print to pdf (as I said it does not print using Microsoft print to pdf)
You save the pdf wherever you wish
then you open the pdf but this time you print using YOUR PRINTER
where I am sure you will have A6

Wow! Not for the faint-hearted. Dangerous territory to the unsuspecting to be messing around with.

    Other alternatives ...

    - Libre Office (freeware) - word processing program Writer will open MS doc(x) files. Has a built in Export as > Export as PDF. Make sure the paper size is (pre)set to A6 (Format > Page Style > Size)

    - some of the freeware PDF editors (not any of the on-line options); install, test/try, uninstall if no longer required (use Geek Uninstaller or RevoUninstaller - both freeware - to remove

When you check the printer properties, advance settings to select the paper size, just select A6 and click apply. It will be available in print sizes later

And if it's not available directly when printing to pdf, print it to normal size, open in Adobe reader, and print it (again) to pdf. For me A6 is available from Adobe reader, but not from Word...

as I said in post 3
but A6 is NOT available as the thread starter says in Microsoft print to PDF - unless of course you know differently

I feel reasonably certain the answer is as I provided
Print - the document to PDF using Microsoft Print to Pdf on A6 size - save it where you wish, as it does not of course actually print
then open the pdf and print with your printer.

To be honest, I'd seen that one, but it looked so horrifically complicated, especially as it only fixes one paper size, that I thought I might just end up down a rabbit hole. But after you mentioned it, I tried it and it works. So thanks!

If anyone knows how to generalise that procedure, so that I can work out which values to use to get other commonly used paper sizes working, that would be helpful.

Instead of using Microsoft print to pdf, I recommend using PDF creator from PDFforge which is free and then you can just click on Convert using pdf creator and it will print the actual size of your document to pdf
