I suggest you copy your post here into your original thread.
The buttonis an invitation to mark the thread as solved not a notification that it has been marked as solved. The checkmark is merely part of the design of the button not an indicator.
In any case, if it had been marked as solved then you would seeso that you could un-mark it again.

I am totally confused using this Forum.
I also posted my problem to Microsoft Communities and that is where I got the procedure to [B]upgrade[B] Windows, which I followed and it worked well.
dalchina: When I repaired the files it did say the procedure was successful.
Denis: At one point Macboatmaster told me I had marked the thread as solved. So I tried to unmark it without success.
Where do I find: Hard Disk Sentinel (includes SSDs) ?
With : "Restore Default Items in Send to Context Menu in Windows 10" I have never unblocked a file, so I I had to switch to Administrator to try that operation. The Send to folder is sitting on my Desktop with files extracted.
So what do I do with that?
I ran chkdsk c: /scan through stages 1 to 3. Result: "Windows has scanned the file system and found no problems.
No further action is required"
It's been 30 years since I used DOS commands and I haven't kept up with the PC system operations as you guys obviously are so familiar with.
