    What is this Windows warning?

I was getting this dialogue box on monitor center screen for some time, then it went away for many months, and now it's back. The only way to get this nag off my screen--for awhile anyway--is to open "Personalize" on the desktop and then close all windows via a right click on the opened task bar icons. It's something to do with MS Edge. I have Edge Block, but don't always turn it on--and haven't established whether it runs in the background continually. I'm running Win 10, v2004,
with latest updates. (07 17 '21). While online I do user accounts, and rarely use my admin account.

Hi, you've not given your build number. To which Edge are you referring?

On 21H1 I do have msedge.exe in that location.

Please remove your edge blocker program.

If you wish not to use Edge, a better solution is
    Download EdgeDeflector 1.2.2.0

    On my Win 10 64 ver 21h1 I do have C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe.
Have you seen if you have it?

What you mean with "I have Edge Block" ?

    I'm guessing this is meant:
    Edge Blocker v1.7

The above link describes the warning and remedies. However, in your case, there is no file and only the warning. Note step 6 concerning the AV.

I would remove Edge Block which may be the problem and use the below tutorial to disable Edge. If this tutorial is not current, use the search bar above for more info on how to disable Edge.

    Sorry for my lateness !

O.k., since I haven't yet tried your solutions, for now I'll give you the build number...Windows 10 OS is 19041.1110,
x64 bit. I have Edge Blocker from Sordum.org, v1.6. I also use--have set up--a couple of user accounts and don't use the admin account very often, read some advice that this was safer for online use. So I have the Edge Blocker on two accounts and also the administrator. I don't always turn it on when I'm in whatever account I'm using.

Several of you have given me some links for things to check out, and some good advice. It takes me awhile to get to
things I need to do, as I'm a busy guy. And as you've noticed, I don't think in terms of giving the info for everything connected to the problem, because I wasn't fully aware of what else to check when I asked my question. So please give me some time and I'll get back to you with the result.
I do appreciate it ! Thanks, for now.

    Callender;

I'll try that ! When I had checked the version number--v1.6--I wasn't aware of an update...we'll see if that fixes it...

    - - - Updated - - -

I think this worked ! The nag hasn't been back for nearly an hour...after I installed v1.7...Edge Blocker.

I'll use this solution for a day and see if it sticks. Also saw that Sordum.org "fixed", so they knew of it; I think I wasn't the only one who mentioned it to them some weeks ago.

    Thankyou

    Yes

Yes the new updated program is working. The program, Edge Blocker doesn't auto update, wouldn't have thought to check for an update. So thanks all for your help. Blocking Edge may be a better solution, so I'll look into that...

    :) Cheers !
