    Hidden folders

    Here are two folder that you cannot view in File Explorer unless you know the path to them and even if you do, the folder name does not show:

    C:\Users\rdwray\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations
    C:\Users\rdwray\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\CustomDestinations

    How is this accomplished?

    You are correct that you can only browse to them by putting in their paths. I don't think you'll be able to change this behaviour.

    I want to know how to do it, that's a good way to protect data.

    These folders are readily visible in XYPlorer and some other File Explorer alternatives. They are not visible in Exploror2. It seems likely this is a feature of the shell which performs the basic functionality of File Explorer and some other file managers. This feature isn't mentioned in user level documentation because it isn't a user accessible feature. It is likely in the shell developer documentation somewhere but I haven't seen it. I don't think this is available to the user without third party software. There has long been software that can hide folders and they may be using this method. That would be your best option. I have no experience with such.

    @LMIller7 @Try3

    This is interesting. Really, really hidden folders that are supposed to contain a few things I use and no things things I don't use.

    Could one of you tell me why [when I have zero jump lists and only three items pinned to QA] I have 26 files in one of those folders and 17 in the other? Historical remnants?

    Just curious.
